Street Fighter 6 has been handling its seasonal rollout a bit differently this year. Unlike previous cycles, Ingrid’s release last month did not arrive alongside a major balance overhaul, signaling a shift in how Capcom is pacing updates.
With Yasmine’s gameplay trailer now officially revealed, Capcom has also confirmed the timing for the Season 4 balance patch.
As many fans expected, the next large-scale update will land together with Yasmine’s release on August 3. According to Capcom’s Steam blog post, the entire roster will receive adjustments, although the extent of those changes is still unknown.
Notably, there was no mention of broader system-level changes, and Capcom has already stated that it does not plan to introduce new core mechanics to Street Fighter 6 at this stage.
Looking at the overall update cadence, the last full roster-wide balance pass came alongside Alex, suggesting the game may now be shifting toward a roughly twice-yearly major adjustment cycle.
In addition, Capcom has confirmed that Yasmine will be playable at Evo 2026 through a special demo at the company’s booth. This means players will get hands-on access more than a month before her official release.
However, expectations should be tempered when it comes to broader reveals—these kinds of demos traditionally focus on mirror matches with the new character, rather than offering insight into wider balance changes.
Capcom has already shared Yasmine’s movelist and core mechanics, though one key element remains a mystery: the exact functionality of her Bayani Mode boost has yet to be fully explained.
Evo 2026 runs June 26–28 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will feature a range of additional playable demos, including Magneto in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Universa in Invincible VS.
