With Ingrid’s release now just under a month away in Street Fighter 6, Capcom has shared another closer look at how the cosmic entity will appear in-game.

A newly released short video highlights Ingrid’s character select screen alongside her Versus “Game Face” animations, continuing the familiar pre-release showcase style used for recent DLC fighters. This time, however, Ingrid’s presentation brings a few unusual twists of its own.

On the character select screen, Ingrid appears to float effortlessly, almost detached from the world around her. But this version is not her true physical form. Once selected, she steps into the scene herself, transforming her floating counterpart into the Monoid, while also concealing her costume choice until she fully enters the stage.

The magical girl-like figure then glides toward the battlefield with a playful, almost dance-like motion. Her official stats list her at 5 feet tall and 86 lbs, emphasizing her deceptively light, ethereal presence.

Another notable detail comes from her Versus screen animations. By current counts, she displays five distinct facial expressions, suggesting a higher-than-usual level of variability in her presentation. This has sparked speculation that different costumes may influence her expressions in ways not commonly seen in other characters.

As highlighted by LeonX, the Japanese version of the footage appears to include an additional facial animation tied to her Outfit 2, bringing the total to at least six variations.

Mechanically, the video also reinforces Ingrid’s Sun Crest system, a core part of her moveset that enhances various abilities. At the end of the showcase, it is subtly confirmed that she will begin each match with one Sun Crest already stocked, giving her immediate access to part of her power kit from the very start.

More details about her gameplay should surface soon, as Ingrid will be available in a playable demo at Evo Japan 2026 this weekend, offering the first hands-on opportunity to test her abilities.

Capcom has also released her full battle theme, featuring a bright, magical girl-inspired track complete with Japanese idol-style vocals.

Ingrid is scheduled to launch on May 28, 2026, though it remains unclear whether her release will arrive alongside additional balance adjustments.
